The Merkava tank, utilized by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), is a vital part of the IDF's Armored Corps and is comparable in capabilities to other main battle tanks such as the M1 Abrams, Leopard 2, and Challenger 2. Additionally, this latest version of the Merkava features the MTU EuroPowerPack used in various other MBT platforms.
