This is the Trumpeter 1/35 Boeing ACH-47A Armored Chinook Plastic Model Kit
As a gunship, the ACH-47A Chinook can carry eight crew members and is equipped with up to five M2 12.7mm machine guns or M60D 7.62mm machine guns (four are arranged on the side windows and one on the inclined springboard of the tail door). There are two fixed M24A1 20mm cannons on the short wings, and two M18/18A1 cannon pods or two 19-tube rocket nests can be selected for external attachment. There is a 40mm automatic grenade launcher on the chin of the nose, and secondary armament systems. In order to strengthen protection, additional armor is added to the driver and some key equipment to provide additional protection.
During the Vietnam War, three ACH-47 Chinooks were deployed to Vietnam for six months of testing, nicknamed "Ill-gotten Gains", "Stump Jumper" and "Birth Control". A fourth ACH-47A, known as "The Price of Life", remained in the United States for testing as a prototype. Although these armed helicopters were evaluated successfully, with a successful evaluation period, all three destroyed their respective targets, but all three eventually succumbed to fate.
