The Montana-class battleship was planned to be built by the US Navy during World War II, but it only existed on the blueprints. It was the last class of battleships designed by the US Navy. This class is the successor of the Iowa-class battleships and South Dakota-class battleships. It has more powerful firepower and air defense capabilities than the Iowa-class without losing too much speed, and has replaced a new generation of fire control radar to improve actual combat effectiveness.
